BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, London – popularly known as ‘Neasden Temple’ – has donated 24 tonnes of flour to The Felix Project.
The Felix Project collects fresh, nutritious food and delivers this to charities and schools so that they can provide healthy meals and help the most vulnerable in society, including the homeless. The Felix Project has found many grateful charities to receive this donation from Neasden Temple.
The donation from Neasden Temple furthers the collaboration with The Felix Project which included providing food for 40,000 meals across London in November 2020 during the Hindu festival of Diwali. Earlier last year, Neasden Temple also supplied food to The Felix Project as part its holistic outreach programme in response to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Kamlesh Patel, a volunteer at Neasden Temple, further explained, “His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj inspires us to support others, particularly during this pandemic that continues to impact so many. We know this is a very difficult time for many charities and we are grateful to be able to support the brilliant work of The Felix Project once again and help provide this vital commodity to feed so many needy people.”
Mark Curtin, CEO of The Felix Project, added, “We’re incredibly grateful to Neasden Temple for this huge haul. With your generous support, we will be able to reach so many charities that are desperately trying their best to ensure no one misses a meal. We look forward to this continuing valuable partnership with Neasden Temple to be able to deliver good food for good causes.”
