‘Cycle to Save Lives’: New Cycle Challenge to Help Covid Relief in India
Wednesday 28 April 2021

The devastating impact of the Covid-19 pandemic in India is unrelenting. Hospitals are under extreme pressure with shortages of oxygen and critical care beds. The situation is dire and critical. Thousands are dying daily.

With the expected peak of the second wave projected to be weeks away still, BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) in the UK has launched an emergency campaign to support the BAPS relief efforts in India.

As a part of this initiative, BAPS has organised a 48-hour, non-stop static relay cycle challenge, covering more than 7,600 kilometres – the distance from London to Delhi.

The static cycle challenge will take place under strict Covid-safety guidelines at Neasden Temple as well as the BAPS Swaminarayan mandirs in Chigwell and Leicester.

To donate or, if you are participating, to invite family, friends, colleagues and well-wishers to sponsor you, please direct them to your fundraising page on the JustGiving website here.

Funds will be used as per our charitable objects, including for emergency Covid charitable relief, medical services and healthcare facilities in India.
