Visitor Opinions – Schools (2012)

I am writing to thank you for once again hosting us. The students and staff really enjoyed their visit to the Mandir and all commented on how stunning the whole complex is and how welcoming everyone was. It is always a pleasure to come and the whole experience teaches the students so much not just about Hinduism but about social cohesion and integration as well as respect and tolerance for other people who may be different to themselves. It is something which is hard to do just inside a classroom!

I am writing to thank you for the excellent visit to the mandir last Tuesday. I brought 130 student teachers and staff from Middlesex University and we had a very successful visit, with very good student feedback on all aspects of the morning.

The students particularly valued the range of experiences while we were with you. The time spent exploring the mandir before the aarti ceremony gave them time to appreciate the atmosphere and beauty of the hall before witnessing an act of worship and this helped them to concentrate on the service itself later on. A significant number of students commented on the information they were given and how helpful that was in contextualising what they saw during the visit.

Thank you again for accommodating so many of us together. The visit was a real highlight in the introduction to the students’ new careers as teachers and hopefully it will encourage them to visit you with their own pupils in the future and learn more about the Hindu Tradition.

Thank you so much for letting our school visit your beautiful Mandir. Our children came away in total awe, having enjoyed the peace and tranquillity. They have been chatting about all that they saw and the feelings that it evoked. We really appreciate all that you do for us and would love to visit again next year.

Thank you so much for looking after us so beautifully yesterday. All our students were perfectly catered for and your welcome was overwhelming. I would like to congratulate you on the way you approach school visits. It was very well organised and we were dealt with in a sympathetic and warm way. We shall definitely return, the children gain a great deal out of the experience and their reaction was overwhelmingly positive. Again, many many thanks.

Many thanks for your hospitality and making us feel so welcome. The children and staff thoroughly enjoyed their visit to your beautiful Mandir. They all reported back to me, saying how impressed they were and how interesting it was. They have learnt a great deal and gained a deeper insight into the Hindu faith. Overall a brilliant experience for all involved! We look forward to arranging a visit again next year.

Thank you for your warm welcome and hospitality on our visit to the Mandir. We all found the visit very insightful and informative. The pupils were very interested in being able to find out more about Hinduism and I think we recognised and felt a sense of the divine whilst in the Mandir. Thank you for a memorable experience – I am looking forward to returning next year when we will hopefully be able to spend a little more time.

Excellent visit. This is our third visit and we always find it to be full and informative. Great variety of aspects to keep the pupils fascinated – from the video to the excellent talk and the Arti ceremony. This visit has become an annual destination as part of our trip to London to visit four places of worship, and the pupils always remember it well. Superb guides today – yet again. Thank you.

Thank you so much! Our experience was wonderful, especially as we were able to participate in all the different aspects within such a short time. The children all took home their booklets as well as a sample of the sweet and were buzzing with excitement about the trip. They were in awe of the beauty of the building and at how it had been carved. Hopefully we can visit again around this time next year. Sincere thanks again for all your help and kindness.

I wanted to write to formally thank you for an excellent visit to the beautiful Neasden temple last Thursday. I came with a group of 30 Fulham Cross Girls. We were welcomed into the centre and received a brilliant tour around the temple and exhibition. The girls send their thanks; they really enjoyed the tour and have been speaking fondly about Neasden.
